Marshall softball plays the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars in Charleston.
2012 (Junior): Was a part of all 57 games, starting 56 of them...was in the outfield until conference play began versus Houston when she shifted to second base and made all of her starts from then-on-out at that position...had her best season at the plate average wise with a .325 mark, third highest on the team...scored 30 runs, second on the team...was the team leader in steals with 32, which moved her to fifth in career steals and was third in C-USA...had a .419 batting average in non-conference play, a team high, also had a team best 39 hits in non-C-USA games...went 4-for-4 and stole two bases against St. John's in Orlando, Fla during the Citrus Classic Feb. 24...went 2-for-4, scored twice and swiped two bases against Bucknell March 3 during the Marshall Invitational...had 11 multi-hit games and stole multiple bases in seven games, including three against UCF during the final regular season weekend of the year...had five hits during the C-USA tournament including two in the title game against Tulsa which earned her all-tournament team honors...was on the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll for her academic performance.
2011 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 53 games including starting 45, splitting time between right and center field...led the squad in batting average (.304), tied for first in runs scored (22), tied for second in stolen bases (21), fourth on the club in hits (34)...stole three bases April 6 at Wright State...had seven multi-hit games, which included a career best three against Wright State on April 6...tied for fifth in Conference USA with stolen bases (21) along with teammate Taylor Thompson...a member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2010 (Freshman): Made 20 starts in outfield, while appearing in 48 games...finished second on the club in stolen bases, swiping 24 of 26 attempts - good for fourth in Conference USA...ranked 48th nationally in stolen bases per game with 0.50...tallied a career-best two runs scored against Missouri State on Feb. 13 and again on March 6 against Delaware...notched a two-hit performance against Seton Hall on Feb. 27...named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll...named a 2010 NFCA Scholar Athlete.
High School: Helped lead Cabell Midland to a sectional championship in 2006, 2008 and 2009...earned second team all-conference her sophomore, junior and senior years...was second team all-state her junior and senior years...named honorable mention all-state during her sophomore campaign...was a member of MU Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Teenage Republicans, Spanish Honorary, Student Council and student body treasurer...is a recipient of the Promise Scholarship and Presidential Scholarship.
Personal: Born Ashley Renee Gue on Dec. 22, 1990...daughter of Rick and Aimee Gue...has one brother, Shayne (24)...majoring in biomedical sciences with a minor in chemistry and psychology...plans to become a doctor.
