NPF FanFest

2013 (Freshman): Started 43 of 53 regular-season contests and started in all six games of postseason play, rotating between right field and designated hitter... Ended her rookie season hitting .257 with a .441 slugging percentage and tying for secondwith sixhome runs and taking second with 27 RBI... Braxton was the second Marshall freshman to ever receive Conference USA Hitter of the Week and was the first freshman to receive the honor in the league for the 2013 season... She earned her first hit against Michigan in the USF-Demarini Tournament with a double on Feb. 8... Her first collegiate home run was a grand slam against UCF March 23... In the series against Houston she went 5-for-11 with four runs, two home runs, eight RBI and 11 total bases... Braxton led the team in home runs and RBI in conference action... Earned a spot on the Conference USA All-Freshman Team.

High School: Holds more than 10 records at C.D. Hylton High School, , including single season home runs (10), on-base percentage (.646), slugging percentage (1.254), hits (44), and batting average (.611)...set the Virginia state single game record for runs batted in with seven...two-time first team all-state...three-time first team all-region...four-time first team all-district...three-time first team all-area...named Cardinal District Player of the Year...played her club ball for Glory Gold.

Personal: Younger sister of sophomore Kristina Braxton...born May 28, 1994 to parents Donnie and Cheryl Braxton...has a sister Ashleigh (24) who played basketball for George Mason...has two other siblings Aaron (16) and Samantha (16)...major is currently undecided.
