2014 (Junior): Started 42 of her 59 games played this season. Batted .182 on the season with 6 RBI and 16 runs scored. Reached 23 total bases and was walked 6 times. Collected 20 hits in 2014. Recorded a .919 fielding-percentage. Recorded a home run vs Louisiana Tech on May 3rd. Collected a season single-game high 2 hits in 3 games in 2014. Had 2 stolen bases, a single-season high, in two games against Michigan State on March 2nd and Middle Tennessee on April 5th. Tied for 10th in single-season school history in total games played in a season with 59. Named to 2013-14 Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2013 (Sophomore): Started four of 53 regular-season appearances and made five postseason appearances...Besides her pinch-running efforts, Cooper had four starts at second base and several substitutions as a designated hitter... She posted a .222 batting average, hitting her first career double and home run at Tulsa on March 9 and was responsible for two RBI the same day...She stole 11 bases and scored 13 runs in the regular season and two in postseason play... Earned Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2012 (Freshman): Appeared in a total of 53 games, primarily as a pinch-runner...did make four starts, three as the designated player and one at second base...her first career start against Bucknell March 3, went 2-for-3 with a run scored...scored 16 times during the season including once in the C-USA first round against East Carolina...was awarded both the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll award and C-USA Academic Medal for her work in the classroom.
High School: Was an multi-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball at Jackson High School... recorded over 1,500 career digs as the libero for the Volleyball team...As a member of Jackson's basketball squad, she led them in assist during her senior year...In the same year she helped guide the school to a sectional championship as the team's starting point guard....During her senior year with the softball team she recorded a .507 batting average, .845 slugging percentage, and .577 on-base percentage....additionally she had 36 total hits including seven homeruns and also scored 34 times and stole 23 bases all in 21 games...Her achievements includes all-SEOAL honors for three years, all-district twice, and was named to the all-state team her senior year.
Personal: Cooper is the daughter of Butch and Jody Cooper...has two siblings include Sharissa (24) and Billy (16)...major is Health Sciences with a math minor.
