2008 (Junior):
Missed first half of the season due to health and family concerns...returned to the starting line-up March 12, at Louisville...recorded only RBI of the season April 26 against Tulsa with a 1-for3 performance...saw limited action upon return with only 48 at-bats with seven hits...went 2-for-3 with two runs against Georgetown.

2007 (Sophomore):
Had a breakout year and began season on a 16-game hitting streak that included at least a hit in the first 23 of the first 24 games...garnered second career conference accolade, C-USA Second-Team outfielder...started all 58 games and finished with a .351 batting average (second on the team)...had 21 multi-hit games and led the team with 67 hits...her .398 on base percentage was good enough for second place on the with 31 stolen bases and had 191 at bats, good enough for first place...recorded 15 walks...went 4-for-8 in series against UTEP and registered two runs, an RBI and was walked three times...second straight year to go 4-for-4 in game (Nicholls State, Feb. 10)...stole three bases against UNLV at the Alexis Resort Kickoff Classic...hit .706 at the classic with 12 hits and five runs...went 3-for-5 in 3-2 win against East Carolina March 24.

2006 (Freshman):
Overcame a slow start to become one of Conference USA's outstanding freshmen in 2006...was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team...made her first career start against Eastern Kentucky Feb. 11...recorded her first career hit against Appalachian State Feb. 19...went 1-for-2 vs. Akron Feb. 26...recorded a hit and scored a run in a 5-1 win over Houston April 15...went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in a 9-8 come-from-behind win over Ohio April 18...added a pair of singles and an RBI in a three-game set vs. Tulsa...became the first player this season to record four hits in a game, going 4-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in game one of a doublheader at Memphis April 29...notched two consecutive hits in his first two at bats in the second game...finished the weekend 6-for-10 with a double, triple and an RBI...her second triple of the season came in the Conference USA Championship, when she went 2-for-3 against Southern Miss May 11.

High School:
Was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Dennis Nixon at Princess Ann HS...was one of 16 high school athletes named to the NFCA/Louisville Slugger High School All-America first team...batted .584 as a senior en route to being named the Group AAA Player of the Year in the state of Virginia and Southeastern Region Player of the Year...also named the District Co-Player of the Year...led Princess Anne HS to 2003 Virginia State, regional and district championships...also was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball...played summer ball for the Va. Lady Eagles (1999-2003) and the Va. Legends (2003-2006)...led Virginia Legends to 23U ASA National Championship.

Full name is Joscelyn Janine Bitner...born on July 31, 1987...daughter of Don and Kim Bitner...has an older brother, Don (23), who attends UVA graduate school at NASA...was a member of Young Life, Young Republicans and DECA...majoring sports management and marketing.
