SERIES HISTORY
Tulsa leads the all-time series between the two schools, 19-6. The Golden Hurricane swept Marshall in the Herd’s opening weekend of C-USA play last year with two shutouts (6-0, 8-0(5)) and a three-run victory (9-6).

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANE (21-3, 0-0 C-USA)
Nationally-ranked Tulsa enters the weekend having won nine of its last 10 games. Senior Jill Barrett leads the Golden Hurricane with a .500 batting average and .667 slugging percentage. She has recorded 42 hits, 22 more than her closest teammate, and 56 total bases. Freshman Jill Roye’s .400 batting average is second only to Barrett’s .500 mark. Seven of Tulsa’s regular hitters are batting over .300.

Three pitchers handle the responsibilities in the circle for Tulsa. Senior Aimee Creger is 9-1 behind a 1.08 ERA and 119 strikeouts in 11 appearances. She has earned C-USA Pitcher of the Week honors three times this season. Junior Bailey Erwin holds an undefeated 7-0 record and has appeared in 14 games. She boasts a 0.88 ERA and has recorded 31 strikeouts. Sophomore Caitlin Sill has compiled a 5-2 record in eight appearances with a 1.63 ERA and 31 strikeouts.

The Golden Hurricane last competed in a midweek contest against Arkansas, where Creger’s 13 strikeouts helped the team to a 6-1 victory over the Razorbacks.
