HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall softball (18-27) opens a five-game homestand by welcoming new Conference USA member Florida International to Dot Hicks Field for a Friday and Saturday three-game series.
Friday's 1 p.m. doubleheader will feature an Easter egg hunt, with eggs disbursed throughout the facility for candy and marketing prizes. Saturday's matchup will be the Herd's Pink Game, in support of breast cancer awareness. Marshall will wear pink jerseys, which will be auctioned off during the game. Fans who wear pink to the game will receive a Marshall Athletics water bottle.
The Thundering Herd defeated the Panthers in the only previous meeting between the two schools. The 1-0 decision came at the Winthrop Invitational in 1999.
