HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Andi Williamson entered the National Pro Fastpitch Draft as a free agent after a stellar, record-breaking season with the Thundering Herd, and has found herself a home with the Chicago Bandits.
“I couldn’t have done this without my three coaches, who have helped me develop as a person and player,” said Williamson. “I am thankful for the support from the Marshall community, and I am proud to say that I will always be apart of the Thundering Herd.”
Williamson has professed how thankful she is for the opportunity to continue playing softball. She is the sixth member of the Marshall softball program to further their career on a professional level.
“The Chicago Bandits are a top-notch organization and I’m very excited to be apart of the Bandit family,” said Williamson.
Her name will be announced along with the rest of the 2013 roster on June 5, when the Chicago Bandits face the Akron Racers for Opening Day at the Ballpark at Rosemont.
