Huntington, W.Va. -
The Marshall University softball team promoted student manager Scott Hall to the position of Director of Softball Operations, head coach Shonda Stanton announced recently.
"Scott's work ethic and dedication make him very deserving of this promotion within our program," Stanton said.
After spending the past five seasons as a student manger, Hall joins recently hired pitching coach Randi Nielson and assistant coach Amanda Williams to round out coach Stanton's staff.
Some of Hall's work included practice setup, equipment issues, and film management along with a variety of tasks and administrative duties.
"Scott has been an integral part of the day-to-day operations of our program from the ground up" Stanton said. "Our players have benefited tremendously from his managerial duties to film production responsibilities over the years."
Before working with the Thundering Herd, Hall worked WMUL, at the award-winning student radio station. He served in different positions including sports director and has called many of the Herd softball games over the years.
The native of Stevens City, Va., recently received his masters in athletic administration from Marshall University.
