Fall Softball Slate Continues with Four Weekend Games

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall softball's fall exhibition schedule continues this weekend as the Thundering Herd welcomes three teams to Dot Hicks Field for a four game slate.

University of Charleston, Ohio Valley and West Virginia State will head to Huntington to take on Marshall this weekend.

Charleston, Ohio Valley and the Herd will combine to play a trio of games on Saturday. UC and OVU will play at 10 a.m. while Marshall plays Ohio Valley at 12 p.m. and Charleston at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, the Herd and Yellow Jackets will play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.

Marshall has played two exhibition games this fall, falling to Kentucky 11-6 and most recently last Tuesday against the NPF All-Stars 8-1.

In the fall so far, Alysia Hively and Jazmine Valle have led the MU offense. Both have two hits each and Hively had driven in two runs. Valle has the Herd's lone home run. Additionally, four newcomers have collected hits in the fall.

Admission is free for each contest this weekend.
