We have a strong academic record as a program and commend each of these athletes on this honor.”
The Herd was the highest ranked team in Conference USA. Four other schools from C-USA were ranked in the top 99 as Southern Miss finished 30th (3.456), UAB was 33rd (3.450), Middle Tennessee was 38th (3.417) and North Texas ranked 75th (3.250).
“We appreciate the resources available through the Buck Harless Program and the incredible facility,” coach Stanton said. “Beyond the resources it is necessary to have reliable people to oversee and help guide our student-athletes.
“So it is important to recognize Jillian Boys who serves as our advisor, (associate head coach) Kendall (Fearn) and (assistant coach) Chanda (Bell) for their weekly academic meetings and Rebecca (Myslenski) for her time monitoring study hall. A top 25 GPA is a proud reflection of a winning team effort.”
