HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall softball team announced its annual Diamond Club booster program is open for the 2017-18 season.

“As the new softball coaching staff, we are excited to be welcomed to such an established, respected, and competitive program,” first year head coach Jen Steele said. “The first class nature of Marshall Softball is a heavy reflection of the many contributions from the friends, family members, and supporters.”
There are many features for potential boosters as well as some exclusives including a “Game Day Experience.”
The Thundering Herd has reached new heights over the years and has become a program that is talked about on a national level.
Team 25 features a lot of talent that will be on display Feb. 8-10 at Auburn to begin the season. Leading the way is the senior class of Elicia D’Orazio, Taylor McCord, Eloise Tribolet, Madi Marshall, Jordan Colliflower and Caitlin Gale. D’Orazio is the reigning NCAA leader in stolen bases with a program and Conference USA record 59 steals in 2017. Taylor “The Sniper” McCord has either set or is closing in on every major catching record at Marshall.
The junior class is led by Abigail Tolbert, Samantha Loose, Ali Burdette, Hayden Ellis, Abigail Estrada and Briana Daiss. There are just two members in a strong sophomore class of pitcher Kailee Williamson and transfer Blakely Burch.
There are nine freshman on the squad this season bringing in a lot of talent and dedication. The rookie team this season consists of Armani Brown, Wylie Glover, Gabby Stewart, Tatum Ksiazek, Grayson Radcliffe, Rachel Rousseau, Samantha Koehn, Aly Harrell and Katie Adams.
