2011-12 (Sophomore): Had 10 victories during the year, which included nine in the 100 breaststroke...won nine of the 10 times she swam in the 100 breast during the regular season...swan her career best time of 1:03.91 at the C-USA Championships which was also the third fastest time in school history for the 100 breast...also swam the fourth fastest time in the prelim stage of the C-USA finals (1:03.94) and her time of 1:04.03 against WKU and FSU is the fifth fastest time in Herd swimming history...was a part of the 400 yard medley relay team that set the new fastest time in school history while at the C-USA Championships...also is fifth, 12th and 18th on the list...ranks second and eighth in fastest times for the 200 yard medley relay.
2010-11 (Freshman):Was awarded the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
High School:Went to Liberty Union HS where she swam for Brad Burgett...was the 2010 Ohio State 100 breaststroke champion and record holder and finished third at state in the 100 butterfly...Lawhorn was named All-Ohio during all four years of high school and also the Fairfield County Swimmer of the Year.
Club: Was a member of New Albany Aquatic Club with coach Brad Burget.
Personal:Daughter of Dawn Simms and Lonnie Lawhorn ... majoring in business.
