Marshall Swimming and Diving was unable to capture its eighth win of the season against the Ohio Bobcats, falling 154-78, Tuesday inside the Ohio University Aquatics Center.

The Herd (7-5) got to the wall first in two swimming events and came away with a victory in the one-meter diving event.

Madison Lawhorn would find herself victorious for the ninth time this season in the 100-yard Breaststroke with a mark of 1:05.84. It is her ninth victory in ten tries this year and third straight win in the event.

Marshall would also grab a team relay event win with a time of 1:41.25 in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay. Lauren Hurd, Alex Dschaak, Tiffany Aeling, and Katie Kramer combined for the victory.

On the diving side, Lauren Rone was tops in the one-meter event with a score of 231.90. Rone, who qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships earlier in the season, grabbed her fourth victory on the year in the event.

Ohio (6-1) was helped to victory by jumping out to a quick start, winning the first five events of the meet. Swimmers Anastasia Bocharnikova and Laurin Williams would lead the Bobcats with two victories each.

Marshall will quickly return to the water as they travel to Nashville, Tenn. Saturday to do battle with the Vanderbilt Commodores in a meet scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
