HUNTINGTON – Diver Lauren Rone has been named Marshall Student Athlete of the Week after winning first place in the one-meter and three-meter springboard diving events against Radford.

Rone collected season highs in each event while breaking the score record with a score of 283.87 in the one-meter. The Colorado native has already qualified for the Zone Diving Championships.

The senior’s score gives her the top two scores all-time in the one-meter and seven total among the top-20 all-time performances among Herd divers.

In the three-meter, her win was the first this season for her in the event and it also was 16th best score all-time at Marshall.

Both of her scores land her in the top five in Conference USA. Her one-meter score is third best while she ranks fifth in the three-meter.
