HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University Head Coach Leonard Kraus annouces the signing of Kyla Jungclaus (Seymour, Ind.) for the 2005-2006 season.

Jungclaus brings a unique blend to the Marshall University swimming and diving team. She has the ability to swim the 50-yard events all the way through the 500-yard events, and will also be a strong contributor in the individual medleys and the breaststroke. While a member of the Seymour High School team she was a utility swimmer for Coach Dave Boggs on both the high school level and at the U.S.S. meets.

"We are very happy to have Kyla join our family here at Marshall," said Kraus. "She is an athlete that is considered more a sprinter, but she scored in the mile at the Indiana Senior State meet this past summer. The coaching staff and I believe that she will play an important role in the middle distance, sprint and relay events in her time at Marshall."
