The Thundering Herd women's tennis team downed WVU 6-1 at the Brian David Fox Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.
As a Junior (Spring 2014) Was named to the 2014 All-Conference USA singles second team ... Was solid as well in the heart of the Marshall singles rotation with a 13-9 record in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots ... At No. 2, went 2-2 and finished the year in the No. 3 spot with an 11-7 mark ... Came up with key singles victories over No. 56 BYU, No. 63 Winthrop and No. 21 Tulsa ... Went 11-6 in doubles play, 11-4 at the No. 3 position with Rachael Morales.
As a Junior (Fall 2013) Collected a 6-6 record in singles play .... Went 0-5 in doubles matches paired up with freshman Rachael Morales including a lost to Lauren Herring and Maho Kowase of Georgia, Herring is ranked No. 3 in the country for singles.
As a Sophomore (Spring 2013) Collected a 5-8 record in singles play with three unfinished matches ... Lost both of her double matches ... Played the majority of her matches at No. 4 ... Started the season on a three match winning streak in singles.
As a Sophomore (Fall 2012) Accumulated an 8-6 record in singles play and a 4-2 record in doubles ... Teamed with Ellie Ball to finish third in the White Draw doubles bracket at the Kitty Harrison Invitational ... Finished fourth in Navy Draw singles at the Kitty Harrison Invitational... Took third place honors in the Julie Shiflet Singles Flight at the W&M Tribe Invitational ... Also teamed with Ball in the Michelle O Doubles Flight at the W&M Tribe Invitational to finish third ... Advanced from singles qualifying with two wins at the ITA Atlantic Regional.
As a Freshman (Spring 2012) Played to an overall 5-8 record in singles and an 8-4 record in doubles ... Was 1-0 on court one, 2-1 on court two, and 5-3 from court three in doubles ... Posted a 3-5 record in singles from the No. 6 court ... Ended the season on a one-match winning streak in singles ... Helped the team achieve a season-best national ranking of No. 54.
