BLACKSBURG, Va. - The duo of junior Michaela Kissell, and freshman Dominika Zaprazna, defeated the team of Dobrowolska and Fahoum from Old Dominion to capture the doubles tennis championship at the Wilson/ITA Atlantic Regional, hosted by the Virginia Tech Hokies.

The win qualifies the two for the ITA Indoor National Championships in two weeks, which will be hosted by Yale University in New Haven, Conn.

Kissell and Zaprazna took care of Virginia Tech's team of Hardenbergh and Vierra Monday morning in the semi-final match by a score of 8-3. The afternoon's championship match saw MU's couple come out victorious, 8-6.

The pairing did not drop a game in which they served for the entire tournament.

"They served very well and also did a great job at the net," head coach John Mercer said. "They are a very strong, dominating team right now."
