CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Marshall women's tennis continued strong play at the Kitty Harrison Invitational Saturday against the University of Kentucky, Princeton University, and University of North Carolina at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The Thundering Herd's junior Karolina Soor (Lindesberg, Sweden) defeated North Carolina's No. 80 nationally-ranked Austin Smith during afternoon singles action, 6-2, 6-2.

"It was a great effort and win for Soor over Smith," Marshall head coach John Mercer said.

The Herd swept Princeton with three victories in morning doubles play. Marshall's Soor and Yulia Kashelkina (Moscow, Russia) defeated the pair of Ashley Blakely/Sarah Huah, 8-3.
