Johnson/Kroh Doubles Team Ranked Eighth in the Nation

    Senior Jessica Johnson and junior Ashley Kroh are currently ranked eighth in the nation in doubles.

    HUNTINGTON- W.Va. - The Marshall University doubles team of senior Jessica Johnson (Sewicly, Pa) and junior Ashley Kroh (Louisville, Ky.) are ranked eighth in the nation in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, released today. The ranking is the highest in the history of Marshall Women’s tennis.

    Johnson and Kroh started out the season ranked 14th in the country and have jumped in the latest rankings, due to a stellar start. The duo is 5-1 with victories over No. 38 Virginia (Fritz-Krockow/Brunch), Southern Methodist University (Kouzmenko/Carson), Louisville (Taylor/Laszkowski), Penn State (Merryman/Marton), and Princeton (Robertson/Bhargava).

    The pair will return to action with the rest of the Thundering Herd women’s tennis team against Toledo (1 p.m.) and Pittsburgh (5 p.m.) on Saturday, February 28, at the Marshall Tennis Courts.
