Tennis Looking to Continue Win Streak
The Herd will face No. 53 Indiana and Miami (Ohio) this weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall tennis heads into the weekend looking to continue its winning streak. The Herd (7-2) is on a four-match win streak and has not lost since Feb. 8.
Marshall is currently ranked No. 59 in the latest ITA Rankings, up from No. 70 a week ago.
The Herd travels to Bloomington, Ind., to face No. 53 Indiana on Saturday at 11 a.m. and then moves to Hamilton, Ohio, to take on Miami (Ohio) on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Marshall swept its opponents last weekend, defeating Iowa State 7-0 and Minnesota 5-2.
Senior Karli Timko (Houston, Pa.) is currently on a seven-match win streak with a 8-1 record, having defeated every opponent except Virginia Tech’s Raluca Mita. Timko has a combined 128 wins during her seasons with the Herd.
SCOUTING THE HOOSIERS
Indiana fell in the ITA Rankings this week, dropping from No. 37 to No. 53 after taking a loss to No. 40 (then-No. 27) Tennessee, 4-3.
The Hoosiers have two nationally ranked singles players in senior Sophie Garre (No. 84) and junior Katie Klyczek (No. 102). The two also are ranked regionally, at Nos 15 and 9, respectively, in the ITA Ohio Valley Region.
Garre boasts a 10-1 singles record while Klyczek supports a record of 10-3.
Indiana was victorious in its last match against Ball State, 4-0.
SCOUTING THE RED HAWKS
Miami (Ohio) enters the weekend with a 6-2 record, its two losses coming to Indiana (then-No. 39) and C-USA foe North Texas (then-No. 63).
The Red Hawks are led by freshman Andrea Badileanu, who boasts a 7-1 record in singles play.
In doubles, Ramona Costea and Christiana Raymond lead Miami with four wins on the season.
Marshall returns home for its first dual matches since Feb. 2. The Herd will face Liberty and in-state opponent West Virginia State on Saturday, March 8, at the Huntington Tennis Center.
