HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Senior’s Deanna Bailey, Thaddea Lock and Isabell Raich will play their final home matches Saturday as the No. 55 Marshall University women’s tennis teams hosts the University of Cincinnati and the University of Pittsburgh at the Brian David Fox Tennis Courts on the campus of MU.
After a six day layoff from action, the Thundering Herd (14-6) will face Pittsburgh (8-4) at 10 a.m., followed by a match with Cincinnati (9-10) at 2 p.m.
There will be a senior day presentation for Bailey and Lock prior to the second match.
Bailey transferred to Marshall after her sophomore year from Elon University. As a member of the Herd, Bailey has registered 38 singles victories along with 40 doubles victories. She currently owns a spring record of 14-5 in singles.
As a four year member of the Herd, Lock will leave with her name solidly in the MU record books. She is currently 15th in school history with 121 career victories, and sits 14th in career doubles wins with 73.
Raich, despite having one year remaining athletically, will graduate in May and enroll in graduate school at a different institution. As a three year member of the Herd, Raich is currently sitting at 99 overall victories; 58 in singles, 41 in doubles.
After the Saturday tri-match, the Herd finishes the regular season at UNC Greensboro before participating in the Conference USA Championships, hosted by the University of Tulsa, April 22-25.
