Herd Faces Louisville Wednesday on Senior Day

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-The Marshall tennis team will host Louisville Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brian David Fox Tennis Center in Huntington. The match will be the final home contest for the Herd’s Kara Kucin, Maria Voscekova and Dominika Zaprazna.

Kucin will look to even her spring mark at 8-8 Wednesday, as she has gone 3-4 at No. 5 singles and 4-4 at No. 6. Voscekova has posted an impressive 6-3 mark since moving to the No. 3 singles position and Zaprazna has notched seven singles victories at No. 1.

The trio has also had a hand in 19 of Marshall’s 29 doubles victories this spring. Kucin and Zaprazna have won four of their five matches since being paired together at No. 1 doubles.

The Herd comes into Wednesday’s match sporting a 10-10 overall record, while the Cardinals sit at 11-7. In their last outings, the Herd demolished Liberty 6-1 on Saturday, while Louisville fell to 25th-ranked Tulsa.

Following Wednesday’s match, Marshall will travel to Cincinnati for a 3 p.m. match on Friday before departing for next week’s Conference USA Championships in Houston, Texas.
