The event is setup as a bracket-style tournament consisting of four singles and two doubles flights. In the B Flight Marshall is represented by the lone team of Karli Timko and Dana Oppinger, who will attempt to progress to the second round with a 9 a.m. match against Old Dominion’s Pires and Vukovic.
Singles play is set to begin shortly after the opening round of doubles matches on Friday, as all eight members of the Herd play matches in the top three brackets of the solo competition. Marshall will be represented in the singles A-1 Flight by senior Dominika Zaprazna, who accumulated a 10-8 singles record from the number one spot last season. Her match is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. against VCU’s Darya Yakauleva.
In the A-2 Flight Marshall boasts the presence of two athletes, junior Maria Voscekova and freshman Dana Oppinger.
