Draws Set for ITA Atlantic Regional
Marshall Women's Tennis Travels to Blacksburg

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The draws have been set for the first round of action at the ITA Atlantic Regional in Blacksburg, Va., this weekend as the Marshall University women’s tennis team prepares for three days of singles and doubles play at Virginia Tech.
Hosted at the Hokies’ Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center, the regional event will start with the Qualifying Singles round on Friday morning as Kai Broomfield and Karli Timko take to the court at 8 and 9:30 a.m., respectively. Broomfield will square-off with WVU’s Emily Mathis, while Timko faces UMBC’s Josefin Stange-Jonsson.
Friday’s action will then conclude with doubles play as Timko and freshman Dana Oppinger serve it up against UMBC’s pairing of Berghaus and Stange-Jonsson at 4 p.m. The Thundering Herd’s other doubles teams of Kara Kucin and Ellie Ball, and the No. 4 seeded pairing of Dominika Zaprazna and Maria Voscekova, both received first round byes in the doubles tournament and will start play on Saturday morning. The Main Draw of the singles tournament will also commence on Saturday.
