2012-13 Outdoor: Set a school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:10.01 and an eighth place finish at the C-USA Championships... Won the steeplechase at the Ohio Team Challenge with a run of 11:38.52...Ran a team and personal best of 5:23.25 in the miile at Heart of the Bluegrass Classic... Ran a team and personal best of 10:25.40 in the 3,000 meters and placed fourth at the Bulls Invitational... Ran the 5,000 meters three times
2011-12 Indoor:Posted a personal best in the 3000m run at the C-USA Indoor Championships with a time of 10:38.46
2011-12 Outdoor:Placed first in the 3000m steeplechase at the Ohio Duel... Finished 9th in the 1500m run at the Hilltopper Relays with a personal best time of 4:56.31.
2010-11: Posted 1 top-15 finish during the indoor seaon... set 3 personal records in the 3k, mile, and 5k at the Akron Invitational and Virginia Tech Challenge (2) respectively... Also had 1 top-15 finish during the outdoor season and set personal bests in the 1500 at the Ohio Women's Team Challenge and in the 5k at the C-USA Outdoor Championships with a time of 19:36.84.
2009-10: Finished 16th at the Marietta Invitational in the 3,000 with a time of 11:44.07... Topped that time by two seconds a week later at the Akron Invitational, finishing in 11:42.89... Ran a 5:20 in the 1500 meter at the UCF Invitational.
Prior to Marshall: Finished 8th overall at the cross country state meet as a senior... Helped lead her team to the OVAC and regional championship... Was named team MVP as a freshman, junior and senior.
Personal: Daughter of Jim and Sue Mortakis... Has an older sibling, Jamie... Plans to major in physical therapy.
