Bange Qualifies for Finals at Gladstein Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-Marshall sprinter Asia Bange finished seventh in the prelims of the 60 meter hurdles Friday on the first day of competition at the Gladstein Fieldhouse in the Gladstein Invitational.

Bange finished the race in a time of 8.80 seconds and qualified for Saturday's final, which is scheduled for 11:55 a.m.

Caitlyn Owings finished in a tie for 15th in the high jump at 1.55 meters, while Kametra Boyd finished 22nd in the 60 meter dash in 7.89 seconds.

Andrea Porter was tops in the mile run, finishing 24th in a time of 5:33.10 and Debbie Amos notched a 25th-place showing in the 5000 meters (22:09.91).

Alexandra Phares paced the Herd in the 3000 meters with a 35th-place finish in 11:15.13.

Saturday's competition will begin at 11 a.m. with the weight throw and 200 meters and will finish at 2:35 p.m. with the 4x400 meter relay.
