Two school records go down Saturday
CULLOWHEE, N.C.—Marshall track and field wrapped up a highly successful weekend by winning the Catamount Classic Saturday. The Herd recorded 166 team points, which won the meet by 26 points over the hosts from Western Carolina.
Following two wins and a school record performance from Reneese Batson on Friday, Marshall athletes broke two school records and won four events during the second day of competition.
Sophomore Christianna Dogan broke the school record in the 400 meter hurdles by running in 1:00.57. The time broke the long time record held by Leona Benjamin since 1998 of 1:00.59. Dogan finished second in the event.
