HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall track and field will travel to Akron, Ohio this weekend for the 9th annual Akron Invitational held at Stile Athletics Field House Friday and Saturday.
Events run from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday and again on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:05 p.m.
The Thundering Herd will look to use its momentum gained from a set of record-breaking performances last week at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet to prepare for the upcoming Conference USA Indoor Championships.
Last week in Lexington, Ky., senior Jasia Richardson used a record-breaking triple jump to leap into the nation’s top ten rankings. Meanwhile, Marshall’s 4x400 relay team shattered another Marshall record en route to a sixth place finish of their own.
