HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall junior Vanessa Jules has been named Marshall's student-athlete of the week for the week ending April 8.

On Saturday, Jules broke her own school record in the high jump with a leap of 1.78 meters. The mark ranked as the 15th best jump in the country. The Silver Springs, Md. native also placed second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.25 and was a member of the winning 4x100 meter relay team that finished in 46.62.

Jules helped Marshall defeat Ohio 106-82 in the Ohio Women's Team Challenge.
