Track and Field, Cross Country Announces January 2 Clinic

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University track and field will host the Track and Field/Cross Country Clinic at the Chris Cline Indoor Athletic Complex on January 2, 2016.

CLINIC INFORMATION

The camp is open to athletes grade six and up, as well as coaches. The camp opens at 8 a.m. for registration and will run specialized events through 3:30 p.m., along with a lunch break.

The clinic features Marshall’s experienced coaching staff, including track and field assistants Don Yentes, Travis Coleman, Jaymes Talkington and cross country assistant Caleb Bowen.

CLINIC SCHEDULE

Saturday, January 2

8:00am-8:45am—Clinic Registration

9:00am-11:30am—Sprints / Hurdles / Block Starts / Specific Training

9:00am-11:30am—Shot Put (Glide & Rotation)/ Discus / Throws Specific Training

9:00am-11:30am— XC / Long Distance / Specific Training

LUNCH BREAK

1:00pm-3:30pm—Long Jump / High Jump / Specific Training

1:00pm-3:30pm— Pole Vault / Specific Training

1:00pm-3:30pm— Mid-Distance / Specific Training

PRICE

For athletes, the cost for the entire day is $75. For coaches, the cost is $50 per day.
