SOPHOMORE SEASON: Third team All-Conference USA... posted 13 double-doubles...averaged more than three kills and digs per game... started every match... double digits in kills in 21 matches... Cahill's season high in kills came at Memphis, with 18... her highest dig total was 23 against Cincinnati... set a career high with 51 aces... she also tied her career high in blocks with three against Southern Miss and Houston... recorded 346 kills and 331 digs, second most on the team in each statistical category...
FRESHMAN SEASON: As a true freshman, Cahill was second on the team with 353 kills on the season, good for 2.78 per game...Cahill also registered the second highest total for digs on the squad with 357 (2.81/game)...Cahill's 44 service aces were also second on the team...She registered 25 blocks on the season...Cahill hit for a .400-plus percentage twice during the season with her best coming at Niagara on Oct. 13 with a clip of .474...She hit .400 on Sept. 11, against Morehead State...Cahill put down a career-high 22 kills against Northern Illinois on Oct. 8, and her best digging performance against West Virginia on Oct. 5, with 20...She served seven aces against Central Michigan on Oct. 29...Cahill played in 127 of the Herd's 128 games in 2004.
PRIOR TO MARSHALL: Cahill comes to the Herd after a stellar playing career at Presentation Academy in Louisville, Ky...Cahill was first-team all-state three years and helped lead her team to four district championships...She was also an AAU All-American in 1999 and 2000...She played for the Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA) club for nine years and she helped lead the squad to a national title when she was 15...she is the daughter of Jackie and Jim Cahill...intended major is nursing.
