Matt Jackson begins his fourth season with the Herd in 2016, and his second season as a full-time assistant coach. Jackson spent two years as a graduate assistant coach during the 2013 and 2014 seasons while earning his Master's degree in Sports Administration.

Jackson, a native of Pleasanton, Calif., played volleyball at Amador Valley High School, and served as captain of the men's club team at Oregon State University and student manager with the OSU women's intercollegiate team. He also coached the OSU men for one year. He is a 2012 Oregon State graduate.
