JUNIOR SEASON Sims played in 32 of the Herd's 33 matches and led the team in total blocks with 104...she tallied 85 blocks assists to go along with 19 solos on the year...her 348 kills (2.78/game) were third most on the team and her .273 hitting percentage was the Herd's second highest total...Sims had five matches with .400-plus hitting performances on the year with the best coming at Buffalo on Oct. 14 with a staggering .647 mark for her 13 kills...she also hit .562 against Central Michigan on Oct. 29...Her 18-kills on Sept. 17 versus Cincinnati were her most for the season and one shy of her career high...She had eight blocks on Oct. 5, against West Virginia and she had a career best 89 digs on the season...Sims recorded 28 aces on the year and played in 124 of the Herd's 128 games in 2004.

SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in 134 games in 2003...posted a team high 138 total blocks for 1.03 per game...also led the team in service aces with 56, tying her for second all-time in a single season with teammate Katie Stein...posted 2.12 kills per game, the fourth best total on the team...her 424 points were the second highest total on the team...posted a career high for kills with 19 on 11/15 against Kent State, also had a team high points total in the Kent contest with 26 (19-5-2) in the five-game match to help secure a first-round home match in the MAC tournament...recorded a career high and the team's best blocking match of the year with 10 on 11/1 against Bowling Green...notched a career-high seven service aces on 9/20 at Duquense...hit a perfect 1.000 percent with six kills in six attempts on 9/13 against Savannah State...

FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in 31 matches and 103 games...posted 2.07 kills per game, the fifth best average on the team...was fourth on the team at the net, averaging 0.66 blocks per game...had the team's best hitting match of the year against Eastern Michigan on 10/4; hit for a .667 hitting percentage (14-2-8)...the EMU match was also a career best for kills...put up nine double-digit kill matches...also had a .643 hitting percentage (10-1-14) against Cleveland State on 9/14 to go with three service aces, a season best...helped the Herd block their way to the Microtel UNC Greensboro Tournament title with seven total blocks against Winthrop on 9/7, a career high.

PRIOR TO MARSHALL: Earned letters in volleyball (4), basketball (3), and track (1)...named team captain and led her Fairview High School team to a 20-4 record her senior year...was the team's MVP for her junior and senior years...District 7 Player of the Year, as well as second team All-Ohio member...participated in State All-Ohio match and District All-Star match...also led her club team to a 74-26 match record and three appearances in the Junior Olympic Nationals in the last three years...club team finished third at AAU Nationals, ninth (club) at the Junior Olympic Nationals, and ninth overall at the Las Vegas Invitational in 2001...tallied 311 kills, 145 blocks, 201 digs, and 40 service aces in her high school career...named her school's valedictorian and "Top Student Athlete"...named to the National Honor Society...daughter of Maury and Deb Sims.
