Taylor Tanner enters her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Marshall University volleyball program.
Her primary responsibilities include assisting with the team defense, the organization of camps, working with the MU Volleyball booster club - Thundering Spikers, coordinating video exchanges and contributing to the weekly newsletter.
Tanner was a four-year libero/defensive specialist from 2005-08 for the Thundering Herd. During her collegiate career she recorded 729 digs and 61 service aces.
She was a major contributor on two regular season Conference USA Championship squads in 2005 and 2007. The 2005 team also was crowned the C-USA tournament champs and advanced to the NCAA tournament before falling to Ohio State.
During the past four years she helped coach the River Cities Thunder Volleyball Club team in Huntington.
A 2009 graduate of Marshall, Tanner majored in marketing and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Adult and Technical Education.
