2015 will mark Taylor Strickland's third year as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with Marshall volleyball.

Strickland played volleyball for the Herd under head coach Mitch Jacobs for two seasons, including the 2007 Conference USA regular-season champions. She continued her connection with the MU head coach with the River Cities volleyball club, for which Jacobs is the director.

Prior to coaching for the Herd, Strickland was the assistant coach at Spring Valley High School for five seasons, in which SVHS won two state titles (2009 and 2011) and four regional titles. With River Cities, Strickland coached the 13U team from 2010-2012, then moved to the 18U head coach for the past two seasons. She also coached her 2013 18U team to the USA Junior National Championships in Dallas. The team finished 33rd in the National Division and 64th of 150 teams in the competition.

A native of Kenova, W. Va., Strickland graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science in biology (2010) and Master of Science in Human Resource Management (2013). She also served as a graduate assistant for the M-Club and Big Green from 2011-2013.
