HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall volleyball team will face Lindsey Wilson College Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in Gullickson Gymnasium (320 18th Street, Huntington, WV 25703).

Admission for the event is free of charge.

Lindsey Wilson finished fifth in the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Postseason Coaches Top 25 Poll last season, following a 35-2 campaign that saw the Blue Raiders advance to the quarterfinals of the national championship for the second-straight season.

The contest will be the second of four spring matches for the program. Ohio will visit Huntington on April 11 for an 8 p.m. match in the Henderson Center. The Herd closes its spring season on April 18 at 4 p.m. against the University of Charleston.

Marshall returns 13 student-athletes from last season, including rising seniors Justice Craft, Taylor Pelton and Kayla Simmons. The Herd also brings back Madelyn Cole, Madison Hill, Tiffany Isaacs, Jac'cara Walker, Jayden Jacobs, Shelby Conley, Lauren Mattmuller and Zoe Schreiber

The Thundering Herd held a 22-8 overall record and was tied for second in Conference USA with an 11-3 record in 2016. Marshall featured five student-athletes who received all-conference honors, which was the most the Herd has had in a single season since joining C-USA in 2005.
