Volleyball Travels to Louisville for Spring Tournament

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall volleyball looks to test its offseason progress with three matches this Saturday in the 2013 OVVC Spring College Tournament in Louisville, Ky. The Thundering Herd will be taking on Eastern Kentucky, Ole Miss and Cincinnati in the one-day event.

The Herd opens up action on Saturday with a 9 a.m. match against Eastern Kentucky, then quickly turns around and plays Ole Miss at 10 a.m.  After a short break, Marshall will face Cincinnati at 1 p.m. ET.

The tournament is a three-set format and features a 13-team field including Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Western Michigan, Marshall, Illinois State, Indiana, Western Kentucky, Morehead State, Tennessee-Martin, Xavier, Eastern Kentucky, and Ole Miss.

Doors to the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center will open at 8 a.m. and cost of admission is $5 per person. If a child wears a KIVA shirt they will enter free of charge.
