Volleyball To Host Ohio and Ball State


Huntington, W.Va. – The Marshall University women’s volleyball team will host Ohio and Ball State this weekend. On Friday evening the Herd will play host to Ohio at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday they will compete against Ball State at 2:00 p.m.. Both matches will be held in the Cam Henderson Center.

The Herd (3-7, 1-1 MAC) will enter the weekend after a heart-breaking loss to Morehead. Ohio (1-8, 1-1 MAC) will enter the contest just claiming their first win of the season last weekend against Buffalo. Ball State will enter with a record of 7-4 overall and 3-0 in the MAC.

Between games two and three at both home contests everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to win free pizza or a t-shirt. There will be a serving contest and all you have to do is serve the ball over the net and hit one of the prizes on the floor and you get to take it home. Prizes are t-shirts and pizza.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 dollars for children 17 and under. Marshall students and faculty are admitted free witha valid university ID. Also, the Go Herd is now available through the MU Ticket Office at 1-800-THE-HERD. These season passes allow MU fans to attend any Thundering Herd women’s and men’s soccer match, volleyball match, softball game or baseball game for the one time fee of $40 for adults and $25 for children 17 and under.
