Herd Volleyball Takes to Road for Pair of C-USA Matches

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Marshall University volleyball team is set to begin its fourth weekend of Conference USA play with a pair of matches against UCF and Southern Miss.

The Thundering Herd (13-8, 5-2 C-USA) will compete in its first match of the road trip with the UCF Golden Knights (5-12, 1-5 C-USA) on Friday at 3 p.m. UCF has lost its past five matches to conference competition.

In its past three matches, Marshall has defeated SMU, Memphis and UAB by a combined score of 9-3.

Marshall's Kelly-Anne Billingy still remains the NCAA leader in kills per game for the third consecutive week with her 6.32 average. She is also on top of the C-USA leader board with 7.11 points per game.

On Sunday, Marshall will be taking on Southern Miss (11-6, 4-2 C-USA) in a battle between the third and fourth place teams in C-USA. The Golden Eagles have won four straight matches - all of which came on the road. The Herd will take on Southern Miss at 1 p.m.
