Marshall Volleyball Faces Tough Road Trip This Weekend

    The Marshall University Volleyball Team travels to Oxford, Ohio, and Muncie, Indiana, this weekend for MAC tussles with the Miami RedHawks and the Ball State Cardinals on Friday and Saturday.     The Thundering Herd enter tonight's play with a 15-5 overall record, 6-1 in conference matches. Marshall is led by senior Heidi Kuethe, who currently ranks eighth in the MAC in hitting percentage with a .286 average. Tracey King is seventh in kills with 138, while freshman setter Katie Stein is fourth in the league in assists with 11.26 per game and fourth in service aces with 0.49 per game.

    Miami (7-14, 2-7) is coming off a heartbreaking five game loss to Ball State, who remains unbeaten in MAC play with a 7-0 record. Marshall defeated the RedHawks earlier in the season 3-1 on October 5th in the Henderson Center. However, the RedHawks hold a 10-2 overall series lead.

    The Thundering Herd then travel to Muncie, Indiana, for a match with the leader in the MAC West, Ball State. That game too can be followed live on Herdzone.com. More information will accompany the results following the match tonight with Miami.
