Herd Volleyball Set to Host Pair of MAC Matches


HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? The Thundering Herd volleyball team hits the floor again this weekend for a pair of Mid-American Conference matches with the Central Michigan Chippewas Friday night and the Buffalo Bulls Sunday afternoon.

The Thundering Herd will look to end a three-match losing skid Friday night in the Cam Henderson Center with the first serve against the Chippewas at 7 p.m. Marshall is 14-9 on the season, 5-4 in the MAC.

Central Michigan is 6-16 overall and 3-8 in MAC. The Central Michigan match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Cam Henderson Center.

Buffalo enters Sunday's contest with a 7-16 overall mark and is 0-10 in the MAC (Prior to Friday night's action). The Bulls are led by Nikki Morzenti with 212 kills on the season.

The Herd is led by Freshman Kelly-Anne Billingy (Trincity, Trinidad) with 490 kills. She is averaging 5.70 kills per game and is 13 shy of breaking the Marshall single season record in kills.
