Marshall Hosts UAB on Senior Day
Craft, Pelton, Simmons honored in pre-match ceremony
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Volleyball will be back in the Cam Henderson Center for its regular season finale against UAB Saturday at 2 p.m.
The program will honor its three seniors (Justice Craft, Taylor Pelton and Kayla Simmons) in a ceremony just before the start of the match.
The winner will be the eighth and final seed in next week’s Conference USA Tournament in Bowling Green, Ky.
The first 100 fans into the venue will receive black Marshall sunglass straps. Fans who present their military ID will receive free admission, as part of the department’s Veterans Day promotion.

Marshall (10-18 overall, 5-8 Conference USA) dropped a 3-2 decision at UTEP on Wednesday.
The Thundering Herd’s Jac’cara Walker leads the league in points (4.46), is second in kills per set (3.93) and fifth in service aces (0.36). Madelyn Cole is seventh in assists (9.25), as is Addisyn Rowe (1.01) in blocks and Jessa Long (3.56) in digs.
Scouting the Blazers
UAB (11-18, 4-9) was swept by Florida Atlantic in Birmingham on Thursday. Emily Martinez stands fourth in digs with 3.82 per set, while Erika Zembyla is seventh in service aces (0.32), as is Petra Silic in hitting percentage (.352). Kenley Adams is 10th in assists (8.59).

Marshall will hit the road Wednesday for an 8 p.m. ET/6 p.m. MT contest at UTEP before returning home to a Senior Day contest against UAB on Saturday (2 p.m. ET).
