IRVING, Texas - After going 2-0 this weekend and defeating UTEP and Tulane, Marshall volleyball finished with an 18-12 (8-8 C-USA) regular season record to earn the No. 6 seed in the Conference USA tournament.

Marshall travels to Tulsa, Okla. for the tournament on Friday, Nov. 16 and faces No. 3 seed UCF (14-14, 11-5 C-USA) at 8 p.m. ET in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

The winner will move on to play the winner of the Rice/Houston match on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.

All matches will be available through live stream video as well as live stats, via the league website, ConferenceUSA.com.

The Thundering Herd split the two matches against UCF earlier this season, winning in late September 3-2 and taking a loss in late October, 3-1.

Laura Der combined for an average of 4.44 kills per set, totaling 40 kills in the two matches against the Knights. Jillian Shemanski earned 13 total blocks, while Dorothy Rahal added 44 digs from the back row. Setter Sammie Bane earned 50 assists in the first match and booked 46 in the second for a 10.67 average.
