Exhibitions on Tues & Wed set stage for exciting season ahead; tickets on sale now
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Basketball teams take the court on Tuesday and Wednesday for their final tune-up this week in advance of the 2026-27 season.
On Tuesday, Marshall Women's Basketball hosts Kentucky Christian at 6 p.m. before Marshall Men's Basketball hosts UPike at 7 p.m. on Wednesday to close out the exhibition season. Both events feature free admission for fans.
Marshall Men's Basketball head coach Cornelius 'Corny' Jackson and Women's Basketball head coach Juli Fulks have utilized the offseason and these exhibitions to continue building their teams for the 2026-27 season – one in which there are high expectations for both programs.
Both programs are one week away from tipping off the regular season on Monday, Nov. 2. Tickets are on sale now for 2026-27 games at the Cam Henderson Center by clicking HERE.
The building on the court is only half the story for Marshall Basketball this offseason as the Cam Henderson Center adds new features which fans can get a sneak peek of at this week's exhibition matchups.
New concession options in more accessible areas bring a different feel for Herd fans while keeping them as part of the action and the Dough Daddy's Kids Zone also offers something for every fan in the family. New premium spaces include the Courtside Lounge, the newly-reimagined Hartley Room and the Dough Daddy's Sky Deck, offering unique fan experiences that add to what was already considered the best atmosphere in Sun Belt Conference basketball.
With the season now just one week away, fans are encouraged to get their tickets now to be part of the excitement that is the 2026-27 basketball season at The Cam.
The Marshall men will open the regular season at home first with the Herd hosting Buffalo at 7 p.m. on Nov. 2.
Coach Corny's crew will have 18 regular season games at the Cam Henderson Center, each with a special theme. The full promotional schedule can be viewed HERE.
The Herd has 11 newcomers to the roster in 2026-27, which showcased their talent for the first time last week in an exhibition victory over West Virginia Wesleyan.
I want our fans to know that these guys work extremely hard, said Coach Jackson. I love being around them and the rest of my coaching staff as well. I think this team will be really fun to watch and cheer for. I want to sell out, especially at home! Our advantage is our people, I want to use our people as a weapon.
Fresh off its WNIT Championship and record-setting win total last season, Marshall Women's Basketball opens its home slate of the regular season at 6 p.m. on Nov. 6 against North Carolina A&T – the first of 16 home games for the Herd women's team this year. The full promotional schedule can be viewed HERE.
If their first exhibition against UPike is any indication, Marshall Women's Basketball will again have the Cam rockin' in 2026-27.
Huge shoutout to the crowd, said Coach Fulks following the preseason win last week. This team has continued to have such an impact on the community and is playing in a way that people want to come and watch. For an exhibition game we had a great atmosphere with great energy and that will just keep getting better and better.
